Memory Foam Mattress

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Tempurpedic Mattresses, generically known as Memory Foam Mattresses, are becoming more popular every day. However, with all the different choices and prices of foam on the market, the consumer should know about the major differences between these products before paying a major amount of money for a bed they will be sleeping on for many years. I have personally tried out a memory foam mattress and pillow set, and can honestly express my enthusiasm for this product. It adapts to the contours of the body much better than an innerspring mattress. However, I can’t personally recommend a specific brand because each person has different preferences due to weight and sleeping habits. The best thing to do is to visit your local bed store and try laying down on a few different models. (When the sales staff have to wake you up, you know you’ve found the right brand.)

Quality Binoculars

These are probably the ones you think of when microscopes come to mind. Using a single light as a sample illuminator and compound lenses for magnification, these have a single eyepiece. This is a bit uncomfortable, as you need to close one eye to get a clear image of what you are looking at on the slide. The eyepiece has a power of about 10X and the objectives or lenses on the nosepiece range from 2X to 50X depending on your particular microscope. The big one here is the single eyepiece. Binocular microscopes are becoming more common.

Binoculars With Digital Camera

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

Before you go shopping for a pair of binoculars you need to sit down and decide what you will be using the binoculars for. Will you be hunting, whale watching, or watching birds, or looking for a pair of military binoculars? Knowing what you will be using the binoculars for will give you a specific type of binoculars to look for. If you are planning on using your binoculars for birdwatching you want to look for a pair that is designed with good image quality. If you are planning on taking your binoculars on the family boat you will want a pair that is completely waterproof.

Binocular Info

Nitrogen gas is an dry inert gas which does not fall prey to condensation buildup inside the binocular lens. Make sure your waterproof binoculars use nitrogen gas inside the objective lens chamber as well as the eyepiece. There are two basic types of prisms used in optics today, the porro prism and roof prism. The porro prism is the standard used in most optics, and provides a design with good quality. The roof prism design cements two prisms together to produce a single image to the eyepiece. Porro prisms can achieve high quality at a lower price point than roof prisms. Roof prisms also generally cost more than porro prisms due to additional manufacturing costs.

Binocular Reviews

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

You should do a vast amount of research before purchasing a pair of bird watching binoculars. Possibly the most popular bird watching binoculars are the Nikon Premier LX Series Binoculars. Not only are they a pair of binoculars, but it s also a camera! It features 8x digital zoom to magnify and capture images with digital camera. For years birdwatchers have enjoyed studying birds in their natural environment courtesy of a pair of binoculars. Some birdwatchers got around stopped using their binoculars and switched to studying birds through long range zoom cameras. Camera and binocular manufactures have discovered how to combine the long range durability of binoculars with the convenience of digital cameras. The end result is a Digital Binocular.
